The company’s work centers on addressing disease at its genetic source, with the goal of restoring vision and improving quality of life for patients and families facing conditions with limited treatment options.
At Hubble, Jeff brings a mission-driven approach to leadership, supporting teams that value precision, integrity, and long-term thinking.

Hubble Therapeutics

Hubble Therapeutics LLC, referred to as HubbleTx, is committed to pushing forward patient-centered biotechnology projects stemming from the research of Professor Bikash Pattnaik at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Our main objective is to create an innovative gene therapy specifically targeting Leber Congenital Amaurosis Type 16, a serious retinal condition that leads to substantial vision loss in both adults and children. We are devoted to restoring vision and improving the lives of those affected as well as their families by utilizing gene delivery technologies to attack the genetic mutations that cause this disorder. Our skilled team of scientists, industry experts, and premier collaborators is dedicated to thorough research and clinical progress, ensuring that our therapies are safe, effective, and accessible. With a strong focus on collaboration and groundbreaking innovation, HubbleTx aims to instill hope in individuals impacted by LCA16, as we collectively strive for a brighter future for patients confronting this challenge.

LCA16

For patients with LCA16, mutations in KCNJ13 result in a loss of the Kir7.1 ion channel in the Retinal Pigment Epithelium (RPE) which leads to a loss of proper RPE functioning, which subsequently leads to the cells in the RPE going dormant and loss of vision.

Service & Leadership

Jeff served as a U.S. Navy SEAL, where he developed a deep respect for discipline, trust, and teamwork under pressure. Those principles continue to guide his leadership across every role he takes on.
He is the Founder of the New England Navy SEAL Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting the SEAL community and extending the values of service, resilience, and brotherhood beyond active duty.

Family

Above all, Jeff is a dedicated father of three and a devoted husband. Family is his foundation, and the values that shape his work — commitment, responsibility, and service to others — are rooted in his role at home.
