Military Experience
Jeff Sabados has always maintained a deep pride in his country. Joining the U.S. Military in an effort to protect the American people simply felt like the natural thing to do. Fulfilling a boyhood dream, Sabados joined the U.S. Navy in 1997. His first role as Surface Warfare Officer saw him as a Unit Commander of a Navy Unit Detachment. His responsibilities included leading support operations with 33 individuals for U.S. Military efforts along the Persian Gulf. Sabados maintained command in his role as Surface Warfare Officer until 2000.
In 2001, Jeff Sabados completed Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training class 232. This experience aptly prepared him for the future of his military career. Following completion of his training, Sabados joined Task Force K-Bar as a Special Operations Officer. Maintaining this position in both 2001 and 2002, he supported planning and coordination of missions in support of the pivotal Operation Enduring Freedom. He then took the helm as a Navy SEAL Task Unit Commander. This experience saw Sabados’s planning, coordination and execution of national-level special operation missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
After graduating both Harvard Kennedy School of Government with a Master’s in Public Policy and MIT Sloan School of Business with a Master in Business Administration Jeff served again for another year to support operation Enduring Freedom as a Joint Special Operations Task Unit Commander. A true test of his leadership, this role required Sabados to maintain responsibility for 75 individuals in seven special forces units that include Special Operations Personnel from the Navy, Army, Marine Corp and Air Force. To this day, he is proud of his brothers and sisters who fought and continue to fight so diligently for the American people.
